This Global Citizenship Program is taught in English and communicatively based, which means that students need to be prepared to speak and participate in English during each class meeting. Students should expect a minimum of 3 hours of homework and study time outside class before each class meeting. The courses in the International Language Education: TESOL Graduate Program are designed to prepare students to become professional language educators in their chosen fields. The courses included are challenging based on the content covered and their delivery in English. Students will be expected to actively prepare for lectures and engage in discussions in English. In addition, students will be required to instigate independent research according to specific guidelines and criteria set out in each course. While the courses are challenging, they are also rewarding and instructive. Furthermore, the role of the instructor is not only as a purveyor of knowledge, but also as an educator who facilitates and supports the learning process of the students in the course. Therefore, students are expected to take responsibility for their own learning process and, as a result, are encouraged to seek assistance, support and / or clarification from the instructor at any time necessary., 2020年度
